I live 35 mile from Ann Arbor Michigan where every year the
annual Hash Bash is held. This has been a tradition since 1972. The hash
bash was born not only as an excuse to smoke pot but as a way to protest
it’s criminalization. I knew that G-Whiz photo ops would be everywhere
at the hash bash. I was not disappointed. I did have a hard time editing
my images. I chose the couple image because I thought the composition a
the best artistic appeal. I was drawn to the nappy hair look.
I was shooting with my G2 and the 90mm lens at f8. I was shooting with
Fuji Superia 400.

I only took about half a roll on the
weekend but here she goes.

Bathroom Light
If list members don't care for my arcane vision of mundane subject
matter please hold Bob Myers responsible for me subjecting you to this but
it is a reasonable demonstration of the Zeiss ability to hold detail in
the highlights and shadows in very contrasty light without flare along
with amazingly low distortion of straight lines.

April 2nd was Mother's Day ("Mothering Sunday")
in the UK. Taken at a local pub where we went to celebrate Mother's Day,
one of the kids was having difficulty getting along.

As I was giving my Saturday morning walk with my
dog-friend Sega, I saw this brand new car, and the reflections on it
called my attention. It's a Peugeot 406 coupe, designed by Pininfarina.

I confess: I went skiing on that weekend,
and cared more about skiing than about taking photos. But I had the camera
with me. So on the way back I stopped in front of this monastery in
Engelberg, and took this shot with the 21mm at f/8 on Reala. |

Color, 35/2.0 Planar at f2 & 1/30 sec. Scanned on Nikon LS-2000.
I took this while out to dinner with the family. For me it captures the
odd mixture of elegance and chaos that you get when dining with children.
I love the saturated color that you get with this film and the Zeiss
lenses.

The weather was sunny and warm but high winds drove most people away from

I came across my son and his friend
playing in the woods. They'd found a hole and almost disappeared in
the salal, and were pretty surprised to see me pop up!

Greenwich was grey. The daffodils
brightened the observatory hill. My Mothers' Day pub shots weren't as good
as Glen's, so I'm going with this ;>) Jet lagged, I'm unsure of the
exposure details. G1, 28mm f/11 (probably) at metered exposure on Fuji
Provia 100F. Braced on body with Leitz table-top legs and Linhof
double-ball head (weird, versatile device). Photoshop
"sharpened."
