Playa del Soccoro, September 1999
This picture was shot in Tenerife at the Playa del Soccoro, in September 99, around sunset time and using a Contax G2; lens used is unrecorded.. may be the 90mm. Thanks to the databack, I can tell you the picture was taken at 1/125 and F22. I was using Kodak Ektapress 100. However the colour showed a yellow cast and was very few saturated.. so after scanning it directly from the film, I converted it to B&W using PhotoShop. I added a little contrast with the curve tool; so now the details are lost in the three walking women. Copyright 1999, Christane Roh. This picture was taken at an outdoor exhibition of sculptures, in the greenhouse of the domain. The arrangement in the greenhouse was part of the show; a white fabric had been installed over the windowspanes and I liked the soft light it diffused. I asked my friend to pose and took three or four shots. I let the camera in the automatic mode; measured for the ambiant light, metering on a middle grey place and set the shutter release on AEL; I used the TLA200 and set the flash on TTL. Well the flash was a little too strong IMO, (may be I should have underexposed by one stop), but I could correct the curve in Photoshop.. The lens used may have been the 45 mm.
